		<description>
	 After the Watershed &#124; Late-Nite TV from BritainExhibitionVarious/Artists, 19 Essex St, 2025When British television slipped “after the watershed” — 9pm — broadcasting rules were loosened. From the 1960s to the 1990s, living room screens across the country filled with wonky experiments, sinister provocations, strange beauty. The centre became the edge. Night turned into a university - a free one.

After the Watershed revisits this era and brings its unruly spirit to New York, transforming Various/Artists into an uncanny living-room space where visitors can experience late-night TV as it was meant to be seen: on large CRT cubes, in real time, without pause or rewind. The exhibition recreates the rhythms of a bygone broadcast culture. Each week a new schedule will play on loop, mixing forgotten dramas, subcultural dispatches, artists’ TV, political theory, all manner of inexplicable debris.
Presented with the Colloquium for Unpopular Culture at New York University and curated with Sukhdev Sandhu and Colm McAuliffe.

		<description>Black AtlasExhibition &#38;amp; FilmThe Warburg Institute, 2025–26

Black Atlas is a major exhibition and moving-image essay commission from the Warburg’s Image of the Black archive, conceived and directed by Edward George and produced by Matthew Harle.

The project emerged from George’s year-long residency working on the collection—an archive of more than 30,000 images charting the representation of people of African descent in Western art, from antiquity to the 20th century. Founded in the Civil Rights era by Dominique and John de Menil, the archive is now split between the Warburg’s Photographic Collection in London and the Hutchins Center at Harvard.
Black Atlas marked the first time that images from the archive had been exhibited in the UK. At its centre is a 57-minute narrated film essay, a poetic thesis assembled from thousands of images selected from across the archive’s subjects and periods. Accompanying the film were carefully edited triptychs that reconfigured and changed over the duration of the exhibition.&#38;nbsp;

Book
Weidenfeld &#38;amp; Nicolson, 2024

How did Arsenal become a focus of London’s everyday multiculture? Co-edited
with Clive Nwonka, Black Arsenal emerged from a public conversation
between Nwonka and Paul Gilroy at the Barbican in October 2022, which explored
the unique relationship between Arsenal and Black culture. Black Arsenal in
book form expands this dialogue across London’s historic and contemporary Black
cultural landscape with photographs, archival material and a selection of
commissioned essays.

	Mirror Reflecting Darkly: The Rita Keegan Archive

Book
Goldsmiths Press, 2021

 From the Bronx to Soho to Brixton, Mirror Reflecting Darkly&#38;nbsp;is an exploration of the artist Rita Keegan's archive collection. Part
biography and part critical history, it reproduces a cross-section of Keegan's
archive, mapping an artistic practice that spans her long involvement in the
British Black Arts Movement, her years as a fixture of Soho clubland, as well
as the intimate documentary traces of her everyday life as a working Black
female artist. Co-edited with Rita Keegan and Ego Ahaiwe-Sowinski.Paperback, 160 pages.&#38;nbsp;
